An independent guide to Android fishing games

Find a fishing game
that suits your pace.

A fishing game can be about the decisions before a cast, the rhythm of reeling, or the next match against another angler. Castmere puts two Android titles side by side so you can decide where to begin. Read the differences, check the current store information and follow a few simple starting points before choosing your first stretch of virtual water.

Simulation & setup

Fishing Planet

Fishing Planet LLC

Fishing Planet puts a first-person simulation at the centre of its approach. Its tackle choices and different fishing methods give you more to consider than the cast alone. Multiplayer and competitions are part of the picture, too. If choosing equipment and understanding how a setup behaves interests you, this is the entry to read first. Expect to spend some attention on learning rather than treating every cast as the same action.

Catches & competition

Fishing Clash

Ten Square Games

Fishing Clash builds its competitive rhythm around catching fish, upgrading lures and meeting other anglers in duels. Its cast-and-strike instructions offer a direct starting point, while the progression systems add decisions beyond the tapping itself. It may appeal if you prefer a visible contest to a longer setup process. That is a difference in emphasis, rather than a reason to declare either game the better choice for every player.

Before you install

A few checks worth making.

Check your device.

Open the official listing on your phone and check whether the current version is available for your device and region.

Review connectivity.

Online features need a connection. Check the listing and developer help for current requirements; do not assume offline access.

Read purchase prompts.

Both checked listings show ads and in-app purchases. A free download does not make every in-game item free.

  1. Use the tutorial’s starting setup.

Learn what the provided equipment does before changing several things at once. Keep one familiar starting point.

  2. Read the tension cue.

Follow the instructions for the game you are playing. Similar-looking indicators do not necessarily behave in the same way.
